The Boosted Bertha is nothing more than the two-stage version of the Big Bertha, one of the oldest and most famous Estes rockets. The booster of this rocket will accelerate the Bertha skyward, reaching twice the height of a normal Big Bertha. After the second stage ignites, the booster releases and falls gently to the ground. Once the rocket reaches its apogee the recovery system, a colorful 18-inch parachute, will be ejected. This ensures the Boosted Bertha has a light landing so that it can quickly be prepared for another launch.
Estes quality body tubes, laser cut wooden fins, a molded plastic cone and easy to apply decals ensure you enjoy a full day of building.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD: Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, hobby knife, masking tape, primer, paint. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)
WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad or Klima Launch Pad, Estes Electron Beam Launch Controller or Klima Launch Controller, model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding.
Four 1.5V high quality AA alkaline batteries are also required for launch controller (not included).
