Easy returns for kits and accessories
Recognized as one of Estes` most popular scale model kits, the Mercury Redstone has "Liberty Bell 7" decals commemorating the return of "Gus" Grissom`s capsule, which was lost at sea for 38 years.
It is a real scale model fan kit, as the fins are built with several balsa parts that need precision and attention to be finished at perfection.
It flies with standard 18 mm motors, the C6-3 is the one receommended but you can fly it with a Klima D9-5 for higher flights.
To launch this rocket you need a launch pad with a 3 mm launch rod, such as the Estes Porta Pad II, Estes Astron Launch Pad or the Klima Launch pad, and an electric launch controller like the Estes Electron Beam, the Estes Astron Controller or the Klima Launch Controller.
Engines, glues, paints, launch pads and controllers are not included.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD IT: Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, hobby knife, masking tape, primer, paint. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)
WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH IT (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad or Klima Launch Pad with 5 mm launch rod, Estes Electron Beam Launch Controller or Klima Launch Controller, model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding.
