Description
This set includes the well known Porta-Pad II launch pad and an Electron Beam Launch Controller, both from Estes. This couple is the most popular ground equipment on the market, used to launch any model rocket with motors ranging from 1/4A to D.
This set is a good choice to have the ground equipment you need at a reduced price.
The Porta-Pad II is a sturdy, plastic tripod design with tilt adjustment (up to 30 deg. from vertical). Easy to set up and take down - no tools required. Comes complete with blast deflector and standoff, two-piece 3 mm (1/8") launch rod and safety cap. The Porta-Pad II can accommodate also a 5 mm (3/16") Maxi launch rod (not included).
The Electron Beam Launch Controller is an efficient launch controller capable to ignite both Estes and Klima starters. It uses 4 AA-size 1.5 volt alkaline batteries (not included) and it is equipped with a 3 m cable as per the Safety Code requirements.
