The Airborne Surveillance Missile is a small model rocket looking like a surface-to-air or a cruise missile, but of course is harmless.
After each flight the rocket is recovered by the included plastic parachute.

Assembling is easy but requires some modelling skill as the balsa fins have to be glued and finished, and there are some small details to give better realism.

This rocket requires a launching pad with 3 mm launch rod like the Estes Porta Pad II, the Estes Astron Launch Pad or the Klima Launch Pad, and an electric launch controller as the Estes Electron Beam, the Estes Astron Launch Controller or the Klima Launch Controller.

The kit includes:

  • Every part needed to build the rocket model (tubes, rings, plastic parts, etc.)
  • Water decals
  • Pre-assembled plastic parachutes
  • Detailed instructions

To assemble the rocket you need (not included):

Hobby knife, scissors, tweezers, ruler, pencil, aliphatic glue, plastic cement, permanent spray glue, cyanoacrylate glue, masking tape, transparent adhesive tape, fine sandpaper, spray paints

To launch your rocket you need (not included):

  • Launch pad with 3 mm rod
  • Launch controller
  • Engines (see Recommended engine list)
  • Wadding or protective sheets for parachutes
