Easy returns for kits and accessories
The Gryphon is a typical "boost-glider", a model rocket that carries a small glider into the air and releases it at the apogee, returning to the ground by means of its recovery system. The glider, meanwhile, glides gently towards the ground.
The Gryphon is an easy-to-build kit, and guarantees hours of fun simply by replacing the engine, an A10-3T from Estes' "Mini" series.
Made from lightweight tubes and laser cut balsa parts, the Gryphon is also suitable as a second step for beginners. In a couple of hours it will be ready to fly and you can spend an entire afternoon flying it in various conditions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD: Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, hobby knife, masking tape, primer, paint. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)
WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad or Klima Launch Pad with 5 mm launch rod, Estes Electron Beam Launch Controller or Klima Launch Controller, model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding.
Four 1.5V high quality AA alkaline batteries are also required for launch controller (not included).
