The Nike-X is a kit produced by Estes in the seventies and eighties, out of production for a long time. After so many years Estes has decided to put it back into production and the result is this beautiful model with a military/experimental look. Although the Nike-X has never existed as a true missile, the shape and color of this model has thrilled thousands of fans over the decades.
The construction is traditional, with pre-cut balsa fins to be glued to the body, and the rocket is to be painted with spray colors. The decals are included.
This rocket requires a launching pad with 3 mm launch rod like the Estes Porta Pad II, the Estes Astron Launch Pad or the Klima Launch Pad, and an electric launch controller as the Estes Electron Beam, the Estes Astron Launch Controller or the Klima Launch Controller.
The kit includes:
To assemble the rocket you need (not included):
Hobby knife, scissors, tweezers, ruler, pencil, aliphatic glue, masking tape, transparent adhesive tape, fine sandpaper, spray paints
